Monarch Fellowship Milkweed Hub

Welcome to Pollinator Paradise a Monarch Fellowship Community Hub located in Paradise, CA! I’m Allie Matteucci; the Hub manager. I am an educator and aspiring ecological gardener dedicated to providing free milkweed and native nectar plants to our ridge community. Western Monarch Butterfly populations are at critical levels due to loss of habitat. In California Western Monarch populations have dwindled from 4.5 million to 1900 over the past few years. The Monarch Fellowship helps combat habitat loss by providing free milkweed and nectar plants appropriate for the Sierra Nevada foothill ecoregion.

Stay tuned for updates on community plant giveaways and events! I look forward to providing you with milkweed, nectar plants, and support to create Monarch habitat on your own slice of Paradise.
